In this class, you will be working with non ferrous metals like copper and brass. Using real jewelers tools like hammers, anvils pliers, saws bench pins and mandrels you will learn a variety of metalsmithing skills like sawing, filing, texturing, soldering, wire wrapping, forming, and finishing. This will help you create projects such as small sculptures, jewelry, wind chimes, light covers and wall hangings. On our last day together at the end of the day, the class will host an art show for friends and family. This gives everyone a chance to show off what they have made or experimented with. It's always a great time. As in every camp we spend time cooking and eating together. There will be a place on the sign up sheet to indicate any food allergies or restrictions your child might have and everything we cook is vegetarian.
