In this class you will learn how to use professional jewelry-making tools.
You will practice techniques like wire work, beadweaving, connecting, finishing, and display. Each day of this camp students will learn something new to inspire making unique and beautiful works of jewelry.
June 22 - 26 Begining Metals
10 - 2pm $260.00 Ages 10-17
In this class working with non ferrous metals you can learn sawing, filing, texturing, wire wrapping, cold connections, soldering, forming, finishing. These skills will help you create projects such as small sculptures, jewelry, wind chimes, light covers and wall hangings.
June 29 - July 3 Fibers
10-2pm $245.00 Ages 8-17
In this camp we will learn sewing and embroidering by hand and machine. We will also print and paint a fabrics, to create one-of-a-kind pieces of art and jewelry.
July 6 - 10 Art of Mexico
10 - 2pm $245.00 Ages 8-17
In this class we will learn about the art, crafts, music, language, customs, people and food from various parts of Mexico. We will work with yarn, beads, metal, paper and recycled materials to make beautiful Mexican inspired art

August 3-7 Jewelry

August 10 -14 Paper
10 - 2pm $245.00 Ages 8-17
This class is an exploration of paper from the beginning. You will start with making paper from different pulps like cotton, hemp and abaca. You will then use your papers in combination with other beautiful papers to make art like collages, sculptures, mosaics, books and jewelry.
August 17-21 Advanced Metals
10 - 2pm $260.00 Ages 11-17
This class is for kids who have taken metals from me in the past. We will take the skills you have learned and begin to refine them. I will introduce you to a few new tools and techniques and you can design your own projects using what you have learned. We will experiment with water casting in bronze, anticlastic forms, enamelling and advanced soldering.
August 24 - 28 Advanced Metals
10 - 2pm $260.00 Ages 11-17
If one week of advanced metals is not enough for you here is a continuation so you can keep working on your projects. It can also be your first and only week as well. You need to have taken begining metals first.
